Impending Trader Joe's (or: Mush-Room-Turn-O-Vers!)
The New York Times confirms the long-rumored arrival of Trader Joe's to Union Square. Right now, my girlfriend is doing the Running Man in our living room and chanting "Mush-Room-Turn-O-Vers! Fro-Zen Quiche And Coo-Kies!"
When I heard the rumor last year, my first, sudden, only, thought was, "in the Palladium?"

i grew up in LA down the block from a trader joes, so i'm really happy it's coming here. until that article, i thought that TJ's/Union Sq rumor was some wild urban myth... i've been hearing it for years.

but they had a sign in the windows saying "Trader Joe's, coming soon." or something like that. and ny isn't the same without the palladium - not that i went or anything.
any video of the running man action?
