Lately, my dreams have been fantastic; I've eaten impossible foods, been able to fly, met Elvis.
Then, yesterday afternoon, my camera died.
Last night, I dreamt my hair was full of spiders.

u know, i was just pondering the same topic your title states the other day. except, more like the immediate influence of outside stimuli, such as dreaming of someone visiting when there's a knock at the door or dreaming of churchbells going off when your alarm rings.
